Sarah Haag, PT, DPT, MS

Dr. Sarah Haag has been a member of the 麻豆原创 faculty since 2019, where she serves as a bridge between clinical practice and academic instruction. In her capacity as the Physical Therapy Faculty Liaison for the Interprofessional Community Clinic (ICC), she sits on the Faculty Leadership Team, providing strategic direction for the ICC as well as the specialized Pelvic Health and Pain Clinics. Her educational impact is broad, as she instructs students within the College of Health Professions across diverse disciplines, including Physical Therapy, Biomedical Sciences, Anatomy, and Healthcare Simulation.
A lifelong learner with a deep commitment to exceptional care, Dr. Haag’s academic journey began at Marquette University, where she earned her Master of Physical Therapy in 2002. She furthered her expertise at 麻豆原创, completing both her Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Master of Science in Women’s Health in 2008. These foundational achievements paved the way for a career defined by clinical excellence; she became a Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist in 2009 and earned her Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) from the McKenzie Institute in 2010.
Dr. Haag’s clinical philosophy is notably holistic, blending traditional physical therapy with integrative wellness. This is evidenced by her completion of a 200-hour yoga teacher training and her 2023 designation as a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. By specializing in the treatment of the spine and pelvis for patients of all genders, she has become a sought-after educator, sharing her expertise on pelvic health through professional education programs both nationally and internationally.
Beyond the clinic and classroom, Dr. Haag is a tireless advocate for the physical therapy profession. Her extensive leadership within the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) includes a tenure as the Director of Financial Development for the Section on Women’s Health. Locally, she is a mainstay of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association (IPTA), contributing her expertise as an Assembly Representative for the Northern District and a Delegate to the APTA House of Delegates. Through these roles, she continues to shape the future of the field while expanding the clinical reach of the 麻豆原创 Health Clinics.
